Why Christian Education?
We believe your child is an individual created by God to be trained at home and at school to honor and obey God. We provide a Christ-centered environment based upon Bible teaching.

About Our Teachers
The teachers are committed Christians who have been or are currently being trained in Early Childhood Education. The kindergarten teacher must be certified or certifiable by the State of Florida. The staff is also required to obtain 40 hours Department of Children and Families (formerly HRS) certification. Teachers must also maintain at least 12 hours of additional instruction annually.

FiremanAbout Our Program
Granada Day School features small student to teacher ratios in a balanced, experiential curriculum with emphasis upon discovery, problem solving, language development, letters, numbers, science, nature, Bible study, movement education, and story time

Our program is enhanced by special teachers for Art, Computers, Library and Music. Also included are gardening, cooking, outdoor play, field trips, special seasonal parties and programs.

The Learning Centers allow your child to explore God's world while learning to listen, follow directions, take turns, share, and play cooperatively.

At Granada Day School, your child is loved and encouraged to work at his or her own level of development.

VPK Education

The VPK program is FREE for all four-year-olds born on or before September 1 who reside in Florida. Granada Day School is a certified Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Provider.  "VPK is a legislatively mandated program designed to prepare every four-year-old in Florida for kindergarten and build the foundation for their educational success. The VPK program gives each child an opportunity to perform better in school and throughout life with quality programs that include high literacy standards, accountability, appropriate curricula, substantial instruction periods, manageable class sizes, and qualified instructors."

The School Year Program consists of 540 instructional hours (this equals approximately 3 hours a day, although GDS students attend 4.25 hours a day for a shorter school year). Lunch time is not included in the VPK program. GDS offers a "wrap-around" program at an additional charge for children who need extended hours.  Otherwise, there is no After School Care at this time. Maximum number of children in each class is 18 students with 1 teacher and an assistant.
